Method

Soak the rice and dal together for 4-8 hrs and soak the methi seeds also in hot water and keep it aside.

Grind together rice dal, rice flakes(washed before putting into the blender) methi seeds by adding enough water do not add to much water. Grind the batter to a nice paste and once done pour into a vessel and keep. Then add the sour curd/butter milk keep the vessel in a warm place to ferment overnight. I always keep it above stabilizer.

Next day mix properly the fermented batter and put the salt and jaggery and add enough water to bring it to dosa water.

Heat the iron griddle and pour 1 to 1.5 ladle of batter and make a medium sized little thick dosas. Once cooked roast till golden brown with ghee.

Sushma, this is interesting, when you said bread dosa, I thought you actually included bread in it, then I realized that it was a term. :)
Very nice. I have never included jaggery in my dosais or idlis. Would it make it sweet?

Dosas are very tempting,
When named as Bread Dosa i kept wondering where the bread is? but then realized the reason for them to be called so as those are looking like a Pizza bread :-)will surely try it too.
