HOOKED ONTO ARUSUVAI.....

I am so happy to annouce that even im hooked with Arusuvai. I was intoduced to this by Srivalli of Cookin4allseasons. I was bit too nervous about the whole affiar but at the same time curious too.. So finally i got my ingredient. I was so enthusiastic about what is inside and kept pressing the pakage. I felt that it is ssome grain and so many recipes stated running through my mind. This amazing package was sent to me by Sukanya Majumdar. When i finally opened it to my surprise it was musturd seeds. And the chain passes to Manidipa's blog .



Preparation Time:10 min

Cooking Time: 5min

Serves:2-4

Ingredients

  • 2 medium cucumber
  • 2 medium onion
  • slat to taste
  • 1/2 cup curd

For the Masala

  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1.5 tsp musturd seeds
  • 1" ginger

For Tampering

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp musturd seeds
  • few strands of curry leaves

Method

Remove the skin of the cucumber and onion and make thin strips and add it into a bowl and mix salt and keep it aside.

Add the masala ingredients into the blender and bring into a fine paste by adding a very lilttle water.

Add curd and the masala together to the salt mixed cucucmber and mix properly. Do not make a thin pachhadi.

Serve chilled with plain white rice or ganji.
