CUCUMBER DOSA WITH COCONUT JAGGERY MIX

Dosa is a very stable diet of South India and there are so many varities of dosa avilable here that you cant keep a count of it. I remember a dailouge of a Tamil movie(soory i forgot the name of the movie and the actor) wherein he tells that intially idli was found and then later people started mixing more water to the batter and it resulted in yummy dosas and later mixed all the veggies it resulted in Uttappa....and he goes on..

But Dosa is an amazing dish and i will love to have atany point of time. I love masala doas the most. The basic dosa batter is with rice and lentil fermented overnight and served with saambar and chutney. But there are other dosas like rava dosa, raagi/millet dosa, cucumber dosa, tender coconut dosa which is an instant dosa. This recipe i learnt from my mother and this goes srivalli's Dosa Mela

Ingredients

  • 1.5 medium cucumber

Nice one...the dosa looks soft and appetising. BTW that coconut jaggery mix is one of the specialities in a Chennai restaurant.
